Who am I?
My name’s Alex, and I enjoy working with small businesses and sole traders to help them get their affairs shipshape and advise them on efficiency and money saving. You’ll have someone on your side who is used to dealing with HMRC and keeping neat, accurate records to comply with your legal requirements, and who can either get your accounts complete for submission or liaise with your accountant at year end with the minimum of fuss.
Basic accounting help
The basic level, for those who are already quite confident with their accounting software: a trained eye to finalise VAT returns or end of year accounts.
Someone to let you focus on your business
Most of my clients occupy a middle ground where I gather their paperwork and electronic data, and run the accounting software entirely so they can just log in when they need to get up to date reports and information. This is a little more time intensive.
A more involved approach
Others prefer to hand over more administrative responsibility and ask me, for example, to manage their online banking, liaise with suppliers, generate invoices. At this level I can also offer a hands on service to local clients to clear up paperwork and take care of cash handling and banking.
A business consultant
And some want advice and ideas for smoother day to day running – like helping to choose the right credit card terminal for the business, designing worksheets to help volunteers administer cash payments, analysing outgoings and profitability of an art gallery cafe.
